Watching Live Election Coverage Online

by Greg on November 4, 2008

I really should have written this post a few days back, but, alas, life got in the way. I was writing a really cool post about my general state of no-more-tv-ness, as well as playing around with my new S-video cable (I watched a movie on my TV that was not on DVD for the first time in a month, which was cool). More on that later. In the mean time, let’s figure out how to watch live election results online.

Sites offering live coverage of the election results:

In addition, the campaigns themselves are broadcasting via the web.  McCain and Obama both have official Ustream channels.

Sadly, Comedy Central will not be live broadcasting it’s Indecision 2008 coverage.

For more, check out NewTeeVee’s guide, as well as this how-to from Silicon Alley Reporter.

Will you be watching online?  If so, where?

Hey do you know where to get CNN’s live video feed online? I can’t seem to find it; I’d have thought they’d be desperate to get epople to watch their coverage. I’m turning to real TV for now… But I’d actually prefer to watch it online, since the TV is downstairs and the computer up here. Oh and I definitely have to watch Comedy Central.

Arka: it looks like there is a link on the homepage to their live coverage. I think it’s not the same as what they are showing on the TV though.

We watched it online. MSNBC. It was fine. We’ve been tv-less for awhile, which is becoming not as big a deal, since most stuff we want to see seems to be online. How’s your transition going?
